April 18, 2017, 10am-9pm: Please come to the MIT Day of Engagement/Day of Action!
Members of MIT and the broader local community paused our everyday activities and devoted the day to engaging with the political, economic, and social challenges facing us today. The day of action was open to all, representing the full diversity of our community. We had over 60 sessions, many of them led by philosophers, including an "Ask a Philosopher" booth sponsored by New England Public Philosophers. Update August 2017: The MIT Day of Action won two awards:
Rossi Award for Creative and Responsive Leadership by Cambridge Community Television (CCTV)
MIT Institute Community and Equity Office Award through the Office of Multicultural Programming for advancing equity and inclusion.
